Will the Android 2.1 have it end of Line at this point of time?

Sony Ericson fans were greatly dismayed when the Xperia X10 hit the states but was sporting only the Android 1.6. A controversial leaked roadmap for the Xperia line has shown an Android 2.1 and nothing more. The mention in the roadmap of Android 2.2 was never heard. Because of the frustrating incident, a lot of people are thinking that Sony Ericson has no fighting chance in the new smartphone market. Most of the people are thinking that Apple and BlackBerry ate the popularity of the company, not unless it got some superphones in hand.

Aspen™. SE-Fist.com by Sony Ericsson has launched its new device with an aggressive marketing with a nice unboxing video of Sony Ericsson Aspen™. Based on Windows Mobile OS and features 2.4″ QVGA TFT touchscreen display, QWERTY-keyboard, a 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth™, aGPS, Wi-Fi™ and 3.5 mm audio jack. The phone sizes 117 x 60 x 12.45 mm and weights 130 grams. Sony Ericsson Aspen™ will be available in two colors: Iconic Black and White Silver.

AT&T’s latest Android smartphone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and is priced at $150 and with a 4-inch 854 x 480 pixel touchscreen display. The built quality of the Xperia X10 is solid, but despite a nice hardware build, its software was a bit of a letdown. It also features two white LED notification lights next to the phone’s hardware buttons just below the display.
